The Blue Eagles have proven yet again that they are the best cagers in the UAAP. Although in the bigger scheme of things this doesn't amount to much but for school's spirit sake I'm happy that the Eagles won. As a basketball enthusiast I can't help but gush at the fact that my alma mater has accomplished something that only a handful of teams have done.

4 Peat Blue Eagles

4 time champions is not an easy thing to do in college hoops because you will never know who will be playing year after year. A team has to go through cycles of players coming and going. So kudos to the excellent coaching of Norman Black. And a shout out to the two best 'rookies' Greg Slaughter and Kiefer Ravena.

Ateneo was too good and too experienced for the competition. This is actually a good thing for everyone else because the level of competition would be higher. Here's hoping that the Eagles win an unfathomable 7-peat.
